Rumor: Will this popular Assassin’s Creed be remade soon?

Just a few days ago, Ubisoft held its annual Forward Show , presenting highlights such as Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Star Wars: Outlaws as well as Assassin’s Creed: Mirage in more detail. The latest installment in the assassin action series aims to return to the roots of the series and draw heavily on the early installments of the series. In addition to Mirage, however, other offshoots of the Assassin’s Creed series were presented, including Assassin’s Creed Infinity, Nexus or Codename Jade. Now, however, rumors have surfaced that Ubisoft is also working on a remake of one of the most popular parts of the series. What is behind it and which game is it?
Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Remake in Early Planning!
According to Kotaku’s American colleagues, a remake of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag is in the early stages of planning! One of the most popular installments in the assassin series, the game originally launched in 2013 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, but later made its way to PS4 and Xbox One as well.
Black Flag is set in the 18th century and we control the pirate Edward Kenway, who later joins the Assassin Brotherhood. The remake is probably still in a very early planning phase and is to be developed primarily by Ubisoft Singapore, which is responsible for the water techniques and ship combat of previous Assassin’s Creed games.
That’s why we don’t really know much about the game yet. Whether it stays true to the original or takes the path of the modern spin-offs that come with far more RPG mechanics remains to be seen. Nothing is known yet about whether it is a simple remaster for the current generation of consoles or whether it will be a complete remake with significantly better graphics and optimized gameplay.
Where is Skull & Bones?
Actually, many fans are waiting for the release of Skull & Bones . The game actually grew out of the idea of ship battles in Black Flag and was supposed to come out years ago. However, it has been pushed back and forth and it currently doesn’t look like Skull & Bones will be playable any time soon. From the Ubisoft Forward Show a few weeks ago, the game was almost entirely absent.
So it could well be that Ubisoft Singapore is now focusing more on the remake of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, whose mechanics are definitely based on Skull & Bones. Nevertheless, the latter is still being worked on diligently. According to Kotaku, Ubisoft is currently asking its employees to come to the office and not work from home.
