The Playlists can be completed in any order , although some are unlocked once we meet the requirements (for example, owning a specific car).
Each one introduces different races as missions, which must be completed little by little. Passing the tests does not always mean winning the race , since sometimes it is enough to reach the finish line to unlock the next one. Of course, Ubisoft has implemented different difficulty modes to adapt the experience to all players.
Driving without damage (with small nuance)
In playable terms, driving follows an arcade line with simple mechanics to learn, which we put into practice on the various tracks. It is the circuits or the types of vehicles that determine the races and their difficulty, as well as the skill of the player. It lacks some depth and also lacks a damage system, except in the case of Formula 1 cars. The wheels of those cars wear out, so it is necessary to visit the pits and change them with new ones. Unfortunately, the system is based only on the time you spend on the road and does not depend on whether the driving is bad, good or average.
In addition to land vehicles, we must add boats and small planes . During the demo we had the opportunity to ride the waves and test how the boats work. The conclusion is that the handling of these vehicles is similar to that of cars: ramps and turbos, with the difference that it is over the sea. The planes do provide a more distinctive touch, since their piloting is different. In addition, in the race we played, we were given more points if we crossed the rings in the position indicated.
The progression system is based on leveling up by gaining experience. We also receive money, with which we can buy cars, acquire new parts and adapt our vehicle to the needs of the race.
Does the open world offer enough incentives?
Playlist aside, the open world offers other challenges, events and secondary activities. What has been played so far leaves us with the feeling that this content is going to wear out as the hours go by, so it remains to be seen if outside of the main races there will be enough incentives to sustain hours and hours of play. For the rest, The Crew Motorfest is a fun title with solid foundations. We like the cultural commentary on Hawaii, which helps to place the player in this particular setting.

In this MrBeast-inspired experience, you must dodge environmental hazards, collect coins, and complete extreme trials to earn points. Your placement will be determined based on the highest score you have in any of your games. The player with the most points wins the incredible prize of $1 million!
Even if you don’t get the highest score, don’t worry. The top 100,000 players will receive the golden umbrella “Beast Umbrella” as a consolation prize. Maybe not as impressive as $1 million, but still something!
